When NAB AFL Auskick has been mastered, one step along the AFL pathway is an AFL Junior.

Junior League’s offer children aged from 9 to 12 their first opportunity to join the excitement of a football club environment and gain exposure to cometition footy by having an assigned team and a coach and manager.

AFL Junior games allow all players to experience a variety of positions on the ground from full back to full forward via the rotation policy outlined in the modified rules below.

Rules of matches are modified so children can continue to develop their skills in an enjoyable, safe atmosphere. There is no minimum kicking distance to mark the ball and the removal of roving positions ensures participants learn the importance of playing to position and receive an equal share of time on the field in each position.
